Today we are here to talk about ways how to wear Oxfords with dresses. There are two main types of oxfords shoes to choose from: Cap-toe Oxfords and Brogue Oxfords. Understanding the differences between these two patterns can help you make your decision easier.
Cap-toe oxfords were first seen in the early 1800s and feature a more defined toe cap, also called a vamp. They are typically made from higher quality leather, such as calfskin or pigskin, and often have a bit more of an elegant touch to them than brogues. Brogues are known as being made from tanned ox hide and feature square toe caps and thick, stitched soles. Both are extremely comfortable to wear, but brogues tend to be a bit more casual than cap-toes.
